The Burns Pub & Restaurant
About us
Most public houses have a story to tell. The Burns is certainly no exception, having taken a very serpentine route to become one of Broomfield and Westminster's busiest and most acclaimed restaurants, as well as one of the country's most respected whisky bars.
What began as The Broomfield Guesthouse, a humble country inn purchased in 2001 by John and Maureen Odde, it has morphed to become easily one of the most successful family owned and operated businesses in the front range.
Originally a breakfast cafe, The Wildflowers Tearoom soon made a name for itself as one of the Denver area's most popular spots for High Tea lovers. An unquestionable success, Wildflowers is still talked about today, several years after its closure.
So why did it close? Because for four years it ran side by side with The Burns Pub & Restaurant, a side project started by John and Maureen's son Jonathan. The pub simply outgrew the tearoom and was showing no signs of slowing down. Currently, Jonathan is still involved on a daily basis, along with his sister Tracey, who serves as GM and Innkeeper of the inn, now called the Hilltop Inn.
But The Hilltop and Burns Pub is more than just a family business. It's a labor of love. Love for whisky and food, yes. But also a love for good living, great company, and community. It's our neighborhood, and we are the neighborhood's pub.
